Common Nouns and Proper Nouns

Last week in writing Te Ngahere were learning how to use proper nouns and common nouns. We had to make a google drawing which included a person,  place or thing.  A  proper noun has a capital letter.

  1. Kia Ora Alexis,
My name is Poppy from Karoro School, I am in ruma tahi (the top class) and I’m a years 7.

I was so impressed that you did that topic because I almost did the same thing with my tutor. I did same but I had to do the same letters all through the grid like you did for you bottom part. I also did the whole alphabet. The same idea.

Next time you do something like this then maybe you could explain a bit more about what you are doing. For example you could explain more about what common nouns and pronouns are because some people might not know what they are. Also you could try what I did with my teacher. (use the same beginning letter all they way through)

Over all your work was great. I really liked the colours you used so you can read it and the words are really big to. I think it is great that you are doing something like that because it is a great way to learn your nouns.
    Haere ra (good bye)
    Poppy
