A Shattering Breakthrough

Last week the green reading group read A Shattering Breakthrough. First we read the story and then we answered the questions. We were learning to answer inference questions. I could improve on making it more colourful. Here is my presentation A Shattering Breakthrough.

Common Nouns and Proper Nouns

 Last week in writing Te Ngahere were learning how to use proper nouns and common nouns. We had to make a google drawing which included a person,  place or thing.  A  proper noun has a capital letter.

My Reading Goals

Last week in Te Ngahere we created our learning goals for reading. We were learning to identify our next learning steps in reading. We had to choose three goals. We choose them by seeing which ones we needed to learn. We choose our three goals and then we put them on a google drawing.

My Bird Feeder

This week for Oral Language, on our chromebooks we made bird feeders. I hope you like mine. We learnt what colours birds can see and what they eat.

Caring For a Bird

Today we read a story about birds. We had to rewrite the story but in procedural text I learnt what to do if you find a bird.

This week for Oral Language. I did the jumping coin, we had to do a thinglink about our topic that we chose, I learnt how to make a coin jump.
